Theus Mago is the alter ego of established Mexican producer Mateo González, responsible for dance music projects such as Bufi and Sonido Fantasma. He is also co-founder of Duro, and has released on Correspondant and Disque Discos. This new EP presents us two tech-bouncing hypnotic tracks, ready for the most exigent late-night dance floors. The first side, “Out Of The Blue”, makes it’s way thanks to the 16th note tremolo acid lead until we get to the break, where a huge layer of reverb and harmonious pads leads us to the last part of the song. The second track, “Wrong Spell”, relies on a playful noise hi-hat that gives the swing and intensity to a solid morse-code-like base with ghostly androgynous vocals.
